All that Glistens this Christmas Season

Just when you thought my period of giving thanks is over, I keep on finding lists of things to give thanks for. As they say, “It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.” And I’ve yet to hear crystal-shattering tones. There’s something about the festive season that render me reflective, which is something I love and appreciate, because there are countless things to be grateful and thankful for.

I’ve had more than my fair share of love, when I realise the

Hannah :: Kids’ Birthday Photography

Let’s change the tone up a little in here and talk about babies. Yes, babies! I’m only just beginning to notice that they seem to be everywhere nowadays, or perhaps it’s just a sign of my ovaries exploding.

Jokes aside, I have been honoured to be present at many of my clients’, past and present, milestones of celebrating their children. It started out with simple shoot with close friends and their new (well, now not so new) baby, Hannah. Since then, the session I’ve been doing

The Upcycle Project

What I didn’t expect when I offered my services to Mizah and Jan earlier this year when I first chanced upon the work they do in the Macpherson community was the extent of which my heart would be touched when I embarked upon The Upcycle Project.

Participate !n Design works with the purpose of bringing an accessibility to art and design closer to communities in Singapore, with Upcycling being the

Giving Thanks

So, it’s Thanksgiving, huh?

Apart from all the stories I hear about turkey dinners, weeks of leftovers, and crazy black Friday sales, I have to admit I know nothing about this American holiday. That is, until I met Melissa, who is a part of our Basically team and she has lovingly inducted us into the traditions of Thanksgiving. Yes, along with all the food, and beautiful, beautiful pies that she makes. What I do like is that it gives all of us an opportunity to really sit down and

Char+Chris :: A King’s Park and Perth City Engagement

Seeing that I lived in Perth for a good three years of my life and get occasionally nostalgic for the life down under, I was excited to be back for a stint and attending the wedding of one of my best buds, Chris and his fiance Char. I was even more excited to be able to shoot a quick pre-wedding the week before the big day.

What I really like seeing from couples in front of the camera is when they are not shy in showing shades of their personalities in the midst of posing. The

YJ+Rach :: Madmen, A Playground, and Love all Around

Yujin and Rachael were the type of couple who are both equally invested in their wedding, and dearly wanted to include their whole bridal party of groom’s men and bridesmaids in all the fun. Therefore they thought that one way of doing it was to bring everyone together for a few photos that they can keep on their mantle in their living room for the many years they will spend together.

They drew inspiration from the era they grew up in, reflected in the mosaic tiled dragon

Just a Peek :: The Portsdown Life ft. Amos + Jan (and other updates)

RANDOM NEWS FLASH! I am currently in Perth, Western Australia, and I will be here for a little more than a week with the main purpose of shooting a pre-wedding for a dear old friend of mine, as well as attend his weekend this weekend. While that’s happening, I am also taking the chance for some much needed R&R, visit friends, my old university and get re-acquainted with a city I used to call home.

Before I left, I was given the wonderful opportunity of capturing the quiet

Shaun + Wenai :: The Couch Potatoes Get Married

Wow! It has certainly been awhile. But I reappear with an image heavy post on the wedding of Shaun and Wenai. You might probably remember them from their engagement I shot earlier in the year, the one where we lugged a couch to various locations.

True to their personalities, their wedding had touches of all things to do with the movies. From their wedding portraits done in the style of movie posters, to clapboards, to even a popcorn and cotton candy machine!

I had

Sneaking past the new year

The last you heard of me, it was Christmas. Now we’ve sailed past the new year, found ourselves midway through January and I’ve been enjoying my little time off, maybe a little bit too much seeing that I’ve been reluctant to get back on the horse and into a fierce gallop.

I had a pretty good breather in Bali last week, hence the silence. A girl needs silence as much as she needs to be silent at times, you know? But I would like to report that I enjoyed myself, although most of the

A Christmas

And just like that, Christmas 2012 is Christmas Past. But why should we even stop the celebrating? It still feels like Christmas stretches on to even until the New Year comes. I guess when Christmas leftovers start becoming last year’s leftovers is when we know is the season for celebration (and excessive guilt-free gorging) should stop.

I’ve to say I’m pretty proud of my cards, my heart does a happy dance whenever I examine them. When I first sent them to the printer I was
